Football is the most popular sport in the world, with the
sport being played by 250 million players in over 200 countries worldwide and
having more than 3.5 billion fans (that’s almost half of the world’s
population!). For this reason, choosing only 10 players from among the best
football players of all time was extremely difficult, but we managed to do it!
Our top 10 list includes famous footballers such as Pelé, Cristiano Ronaldo,
and Diego Maradona as well as other, less renowned names that deserve to be on
this list just as much.
#10 - Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a
winger or striker for Spanish club Real Madrid and captains the Portugal
national team. He is also well-known as one of the best footballers in the
world. In 2008, Ronaldo was voted 3rd on The Guardian's list of Top 100
Football Players while he topped Yahoo Sports' Top 20 Footballers list at
number 1 in 2013. A year later, Ronaldo won his first Ballon d'Or trophy
(2008), and has won four times since then (2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017). His
achievements led him to be considered by many experts one of the greatest
footballers ever.

Ronaldinho (Brazil) is considered by many to be one of the
most natural and skilled football players in history. He was an integral part
of the 2002 World Cup-winning Brazil national team and was named FIFA World
Player of the Year that same year, a title he would win again in 2004. With
Barcelona, Ronaldinho won two La Liga titles, two UEFA Champions League titles
and three Copas del Rey.

success with Real Madrid led him to become the Top 10 football player of all
time.
#6 -Ferenc Puskás ( Hungary )
Ferenc Puskás (born 27 October 1927) is a Hungarian
footballer, widely regarded as one of the greatest European players of all
time. Puskás was born in Budapest and grew up in Kispest, Hungary. In 1944 he
joined the youth academy of Ferencvarosi Torna Club. After playing for two
years in Division II, he was called up to play for Hungary at 18 years old. He
became an Olympic champion in 1952 when Hungary won the gold medal. He scored
80 goals in 85 international games for his country, a national record that
still stands today. He led his team to three consecutive World Cup finals
between 1954 and 1962, winning twice.

Zidane was born on June 23, 1972 in Marseille. He is a
French retired professional footballer and current manager of Real Madrid. In

their 4-1 victory over Brazil in the final match.

Franz Beckenbauer (Germany) is often considered one of the
best and most magical players in football history. He was a key player on West
Germany's World Cup teams of 1974 and 1990. He won the Ballon d'Or three times,
in 1972, 1980, and 1982. He led West Germany to victory at the 1974 World Cup and
UEFA Euro 1976; he later captained his country to victory at Euro 1980. In 1999
he was elected Football Player of the Century by International Federation of
Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).

seen as one of the best players in the world. He was born on June 24, 1987, in
Rosario Argentina. His full name is Lionel Andres Messi. He is 5'6 tall, weighs
140 pounds and has a shoe size of 7.5. Messi's favorite meal is pasta with
tomato sauce and his favorite snack are pastries. Messi does not have a
girlfriend but he does have many fans around the world.

Brazilian legend was named FIFA Player of the Century and three times FIFA
World Player of the Year, scoring 1281 goals in 1363 games. He won three world
cups with Brazil (1958, 1962, 1970). #2 - Diego Maradona (Argentina): Maradona
led Argentina to victory at 1986 Mexico World Cup, which makes him one of the
Top 10 football players in the world.
